BGIC Home Care Services – Bringing Compassion, Dignity and Hope to Those in Need

And they give food, despite their love for it, to the needy, the orphan, and the captive, saying: ‘We feed you only for the sake of Allah. We seek from you neither reward nor thanks.'” (Qur’an 76:8-9)

Alhamdulillah, by the infinite mercy of Allah (SWT), Ba Global Islamic Care (BGIC) has successfully launched its BGIC Home Care Services project in Ba, Fiji. This initiative was established to serve some of the most vulnerable members of our community—elderly, disabled, and bedridden individuals who have little or no family support and are unable to care for themselves.

For many of these individuals, daily activities that most of us take for granted have become significant challenges. Some are elderly couples living alone, while others suffer from illnesses or disabilities that prevent them from maintaining their personal hygiene, preparing meals, or keeping their homes clean. Through this project, BGIC strives to restore not only their physical wellbeing but also their dignity, comfort, and sense of belonging.

Restoring Dignity Through Compassion

While the practical support we provide is essential, one of the greatest gifts we can offer is human connection.

Many of our clients spend much of their time alone. For them, the weekly visit from our Home Care team is often the highlight of their week. A warm smile, a caring conversation, words of encouragement, and simply knowing that someone genuinely cares can have a profound impact on their emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

Our staff serve with sincerity, patience and compassion, treating every client with the respect and dignity they deserve. Their dedication reflects the beautiful Islamic values of mercy (Rahmah), kindness (Ihsaan), and service to humanity.

Heartfelt Feedback from Our Clients

The response to the Home Care Services project has been truly overwhelming.

Our clients and their families have expressed deep gratitude for the care they receive. Many have shared that the service has transformed their lives, providing hope, comfort and relief during difficult times.

Their heartfelt duas and words of appreciation inspire us to continue this important work. Knowing that our elderly and vulnerable brothers and sisters feel cared for, valued and remembered is one of the greatest rewards we could hope for.

Alhamdulillah, the positive impact of this initiative is now being recognised across Fiji. News of the project has spread rapidly through communities, with many people praising the compassion and professionalism of the BGIC Home Care team.

Looking Ahead

This is only the beginning.

There are countless elderly, disabled and vulnerable individuals throughout Fiji who continue to suffer in silence, without regular care or family support. Our vision is to expand BGIC Home Care Services beyond Ba so that many more communities across Fiji can benefit from this life-changing initiative.

However, this expansion can only become a reality through the continued generosity of our donors, sponsors and supporters.

Every contribution helps us provide essential care, food, medical supplies, hygiene products, mobility equipment and companionship to those who need it most. Together, we can ensure that no elderly or disabled person is left to struggle alone.

Be Part of This Noble Cause

The Prophet Muhammad said:

“The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people.” (Al-Mu’jam al-Awsat)

Every act of kindness, every donation and every dua helps us continue this mission of mercy.

We sincerely thank all our donors, volunteers, supporters and our dedicated Home Care staff whose commitment has made this project possible. May Allah (SWT) accept their efforts, place immense barakah in their lives, and reward them abundantly in this world and the Hereafter.

Together, with your continued support, we pray that BGIC Home Care Services will continue to grow, bringing comfort, dignity, hope and compassion to vulnerable families throughout Fiji.

Jazakum Allahu Khairan for helping us care for those who once cared for others.

May Allah (SWT) accept this humble effort as a form of Sadaqah Jariyah for everyone involved. Ameen.
